I am Maarten De Laet (°1996), a mixed media visual artist based in Belgium. The figures I portray, whether painted or crafted in three-dimensional form, are made-up characters that emerge from my surroundings, imagination, or memories. Through my work, I strive to capture a fictional world that I find solace in and invite viewers to escape into this romanticized realm alongside me.
